JRDG is led by Javier Romero, its principal and creative director who has been credited as, “The first designer to successfully combine illustration, design and technology,” by Richard Wilde, Chair of Advertising and Graphic Design of the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City. Javier’s bold graphic style and a sense for colors with a unique vitality and warmth, quickly attracted a prestigious client roster that have included The Coca Cola Company, Citi Bank, Sony Electronics, Time Warner, The National Basketball League, Time Magazine, The New York Times, the City of New York and leading advertising agencies such as DDB Needham Worldwide, J Walter Thompson and McCann Ericsson. Javier’s work has been featured in design publications in the U.S. and abroad, including Graphis and Who’s Who in Graphic Design published in Zurich, Switzerland, Design Journal, Korea, DMN Magazine, Japan, Hot Graphics International, England and ID Magazine USA. He has received numerous design awards and has served as a judge in prestigious design competitions for organizations such as the Art Directors Club of New York, the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the LAUS International Design Awards in Barcelona, Spain.

Javier has been guest speaker at industry events for organizations such as: McGraw Hill Design Association, The Art Directors Club of New York, American Institute of Graphic Arts, Santa Barbara Art Directors Club, New York Society of Illustrators, and European Institute of Design. Javier has judged numerous design competitions and has taught illustration and design at School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design in New York City.
