Pain de Sucre is success story. Now one of the top bakeries in the Dominican Republic, Pain de Sucre started making their pastries in the founder’s home kitchen, promoting them in social media and taking orders via WhatsApp. With close to 70,000 Instagram followers their success took them to open their first brick-and-mortar shop and the need for a full brand update. At the time their brand looked outdated, predictable and even hard to read. We designed a new, bolder and more contemporary brand logo inspired by French poster typography from the early 1900’s. This design approach balanced both a modern and classic brand look. JRDG also designed packaging and other collateral materials.
